Les Contes d’Hoffmann at The Metropolitan Opera

A powerhouse team joins forces for Offenbach’s psychological fantasy. James Levine conducts, and Tony Award® winner Bart Sher (South Pacific) returns after the triumph of his Met Barber of Seville to direct. Inspired by Kafka, Sher describes his production as “a magical journey in which the character works out different manifestations of his psyche.” Joseph Calleja sings the tour-de-force title role, opposite Anna Netrebko as the tragic Antonia and Alan Held as the demonic four villains.

La Damnation de Faust at The Metropolitan Opera

When it premiered last season Robert Lepage’s production amazed audiences through its use of virtual scenery, interactive video, and aerial acrobatics. Ramón Vargas, Olga Borodina, and Ildar Abdrazakov bring Berlioz’s stunning score to life, with James Conlon conducting. Don't miss Chad in this show!

Peter and the Wolf

In August 2009, Chad served as Assistant Director & Choreographer to Sara Jo Strickland for Hampton Ballet Theatre School's tremendously successful presentation of the enchanting ballet Peter and the Wolf.

With special guest celebrity narrator Julianne Moore (pictured here with Chad) and music by the 25-piece Hampton Chamber Orchestra (conducted by Dr. Andrew Perea) performances were held at the Children’s Museum of the East End and The Montauk Playhouse in The Hamptons.

Musical Theatre Dance Master class

Hampton Ballet Theatre School

Chad taught a master class in musical theatre dance as part of the Hampton Ballet Theatre School's Summer Dance Workshop Intensive in August 2009.

Under the direction of Sara Jo Strickland, these workshops were held for children 9 and up who had some previous dance experience.

Cinderella and the Prince Who Slays the Magic Dragon

Chad performed in the Little Orchestra Society production of Cinderella and the Prince Who Slays the Magic Dragon at Lincoln Center's Avery Fisher Hall on May 16, 2009.

This dazzling fairy tale set to the music of Sergei Prokofiev was complete with dancers and larger-than-life puppets including an eighteen-foot-tall Fairy Godmother and a Magic Dragon. Choreography was by Lisa Rinehart and production and character design by Manju Shandler.

Nutcracker: Rated R

Chad made his Theatre for the New City debut with the opening of Angela Harriell & David F. Slone, Esq.'s presentation of the full-length modern ballet, Nutcracker: Rated R, in December 2008.

Doctor Atomic at The Metropolitan Opera

Chad returned to The Metropolitan Opera in October and November 2008, appearing in The Metropolitan Opera premiere of Doctor Atomic, a contemporary masterpiece by John Adams and Peter Sellars that explored a momentous episode of modern history: the creation of the atomic bomb.

The Play About the Naked Guy

This summer Chad completed the Off-Broadway run of the Emerging Artists Theatre production of David Bell's The Play About the Naked Guy.

War and Peace at The Metropolitan Opera

Chad was thrilled to be part of War and Peace, one of the largest productions in Met history, which ran December 10, 2007 - January 3, 2008.
